This impressive museum is undoubtedly one of the favorites of the whole Republic, last year it had more than 300 thousand visitors.
Its popularity is because it is a great place for the whole family, both boys and adults will spend an amazing afternoon marveling at their exhibitions.
The museum is in Parque Las Maravillas in Saltillo, Coahuila, operates from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Their prices at the box office are very accessible, the child ticket (from 6 to 12 years old) is at approximately $ 70 MXN, adults $ 120 and there is a family package at $ 330 for two adults and two children (from 6 to 12 years old).
Inside the place you will notice that the place is divided into four main pavilions with different themes.
If you go to the "Coahuila in your past" pavilion, you will know the origins of the deserts, you will see the fossils that have been found in the Mexican deserts, the mineral riches of the region and the dinosaur rests that once inhabited this area of the country, such as the Sabinosaurio, Quetzalcoatlus, Isauria and the imposing Tyrannosaurus rex, which measures 17 meters long by 5 high.
In addition, there is a section where they can interact with the most recent discoveries of the paleontology of Coahuila.
When you pass to the pavilion "The laboratory of life", you will see interactive exhibits that will go back 70 million years and appreciate the largest amount of fauna that inhabited the place by a biodome. And, as the name says, this area has a laboratory of Herpentology, where you will learn how specialists work with the reptiles that are in the museum.
In "Evolution and biodiversity" shows the sequence of evolution over the last 12 thousand years, so you can see all kinds of species that lived in ancient times as saber-toothed tigers, short-faced bears and mammoths.
And in the pavilion "The man and the desert: A space of encounters" you will discover curious and quite interesting information about the customs and rituals of the nomads that lived in the region.
You will be able to observe its impressive cave paintings, representations and tools that were used daily in the past.
